A recent Business Week survey asked individuals, "Are you one of the top 10% of performers in your company?" The results were remarkable, with the following all saying "yes":
  • 84% of middle managers
  • 93% of employees of age 55 or older
  • 89% of women and 91% of men
  • 97% of all executives!
This demonstrates that most people's self-awareness is extremely low. If you are in a leadership position, or aspire to be, and this applies to you (which it probably does), it is time to address it now. With poor awareness it is impossible to create great results.
